PGDay Napoli 2025

Finally I found time to get a grip on the issues I had with gohugo and get my blog operational again.

I’m taking the occasion to write about a project I care a lot as it’s strictly related with my hometown, the upcoming PGDay Napoli.

The website went live few days ago and for now it’s showing the basic information for the upcoming event.

The idea of having a PGDay in Napoli was on my mind for a while but became reality last year when I was asked to organise the PGDay/MED 2024.

Despite it was scheduled near the most wonderful time of the year, we had a strong lineup and very interesting talks.

The speakers and the attendees had very good time together in a more intimate environment than a large conference and interesting topics were discussed in the most unexpected moments.

We also had a day trip to Pompeii with friends. A very joyful moment that I’d like to repeat this year again.

Therefore, because “to persist is diabolical” we are back at Starhotel Terminus Napoli for the PGDay Napoli.

Because I’m Neapolitan and I think that the brand is the key to being recognised and remembered I asked the talented Elena Toma to create a mascot to represent the conference in Napoli.

Here comes Ciruzzo, a blue elephant dressed with the costume of Pulcinella and playing with the Strummolo the traditional spinning top that the scugnizzi used to play in the streets of Napoli.

At the moment the website shows the basic informations along with the excellent CFP committee.

I’ve also added a page to show a small selection of interesting things to do when coming to the PGDay Napoli.

I look forward to the 25th September 2025 for the first PGDay Napoli.

Oh, and don’t forget your swimwear. In September the sea is very good for a nice and relaxing swim.
